Surprise Chef - Frogs In A Pond [LP]

Release Date: October 23, 2026
Label: Concord Records
Australia’s premier instrumental ensemble Surprise Chef synthesizes classic funk and R&B with inspiration drawn from ‘60s and ’70s Italian Giallo cinema scores. Driven by the creative power of small-combo constraints, their music is compositionally precise yet inviting, evoking a warm, well-worn Stax sound bed. The band features Lachlan Stuckey (guitar), Jethro Curtin (keys), Carl Lindeberg (bass), Andrew Congues (drums), who together craft an expressive, original sound of their own. Available on eco-friendly green blend vinyl, exclusively at indie retailers.
