Continuing their 40th anniversary celebrations, Pixies announce previously unreleased songs dating from 1987 to 1991 as part of remasters of their albums Bossanova and Trompe le Monde being released on 11th September. In addition to being available on CD, digital and standard black vinyl formats, two special limited-edition vinyl pressings exclusive to Dinked’s newly launched Dinked International Editions will contain four unearthed songs – ‘Dig For Fire (Albini Version)’, ‘Go Man Go’, ‘Brackish Boy’, and ‘Punk Loop’.

Dinked's new expansion as "Dinked International Editions," is in partnership with 50 stores in the UK, Ireland and the USA. Their exclusive Bossanova oxblood vinyl package will include a 16-page, 10” replica of the original UK booklet (featuring incorrect tracklisting) and a 7” of the songs ‘Dig For Fire (Albini Version) and ‘Go Man Go’. Trompe le Monde will be available on sky blue vinyl and include a 7” with the songs ‘Brackish Boy’ and ‘Punk Loop’.

Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde were both remastered by Kevin Vanbergen who has been working through the band’s tape archive to create new Dolby Atmos mixes as well as high-res masters of the band’s catalogue, including both their Live at The BBC and Complete B-Sides compilations (the latter due out on 26th June).

For the Trompe le Monde bonus 7”, fans are being treated to one track they know that exists and one they don’t. Side A is ‘Brackish Boy’, a track that outside of a clip of this version long circulating, is instead known more as a Frank Black song as he recorded it again for his eponymous 1993 debut solo album. This version has been mastered direct from the album session tape and with no post-production.

The flip side features the least conventional track of the four, ‘Punk Loop’. Again, discovered by Kevin whilst he worked through all the bands tapes, it was recorded in 1991 during the Trompe le Monde sessions, labelled simply as ‘Punk Loop’ MSTR. A stunning studio jam, on brand, half sensical lyrics about industrial and societal progress collide with an idea rich track that sits neatly alongside album tracks 'Space (I Believe In)’ and 'The Sad Punk’.
