Composer and producer Sven Helbig creates 'Requiem A' on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, in honor of the victims of war and a profound plea for peace.

The world premiere will take place on 9 February 2025 in the Kreuzkirche in Dresden, performed by the Dresden Kreuzchor, the Saxon State Orchestra and the acclaimed bass-baritone René Pape. The recording will be released by Deutsche Grammophon on 9 May 2025.

With further performances planned in Coventry and beyond, this poignant work aims to serve as a universal message of remembrance, reconciliation and cultural exchange.
