ScreenTalk: Bad Reputation - A Joan Jett Documentary

A very special Sidewalk ScreenTalk this September!

ScreenTalk is in a different venue and on a slightly different date this month for the amazing documentary Bad Reputation.

One Night Only, the Sidewalk Film Festival and Magnolia Pictures present a sneak peek of BAD REPUTATION, a documentary about rock star Joan Jett, prior to its release on 9/28.

The film will be followed by an exclusive, pre-recorded brand new solo performance by Joan made specifically for the 9/26 screening. Featuring Billie Joe Armstrong, Miley Cyrus, Kathleen Hanna, Debbie Harry, Iggy Pop, Pete Townshend, Michael J. Fox, Kristen Stewart and many more, along with rare archival footage and current interviews with Jett, BAD REPUTATION presents an indelible profile of a true rock icon.

Jackie Lo is a musician, commercial designer, and the host of the Jackie Lo Show Monday nights from 8-10PM on Substrate Radio and Birmingham Mountain Radio.

Victoria Ott is a professor of American History and the coordinator of the Gender and Women's Studies Program at Birmingham-Southern College.

Jennifer Freehling is Vice President of Girls Rock Birmingham, an non-profit organization for women that focuses on empowerment through music education, collaboration, workshops, and performance. She has experience doing band booking and promotion, music journalism, band photography, radio and live DJing, playing and touring with multiple bands as well as working at record and music instrument stores. She has also been a documentary screener for Sidewalk Film Festival for the past 8 years.
