Birmingham soul/blues musician, Sam Frazier Jr., will celebrate the recent release of his long-lost Southern soul recordings at Seasick Records on Friday, October 6th. The songs were recorded between 1969 and 1971 at the Sound of Birmingham Recording Studio. The album entitled "Take Me Back" will be available for sale on vinyl.
Sam will perform a few selections from "Take Me Back". Burgin Matthews of The Lost Child on Birmingham Mountain Radio will MC a Q&A with Sam before his performance.
"Four decades later Frazier’s long lost masters are finally seeing the light of day, and are a testament to the tenacity of the human spirit in the epicenter of the segregated South. With a band hotter than a four-balled tomcat, Sam Frazier cut some of the most powerful southern soul ever!" —Ardie Dean
